Equity Doesn’t Just Happen: It Takes Everyone to Create the Climate!
Join us as we discuss, explore, and experience distributed leadership for supporting an increasingly diverse student groups. You will engage in deep conversations about what distributed leadership is and explore practical implementation ideas that you can take back and use tomorrow.
We will focus on the need for schools to develop and implement actions that will clearly improve the academic performance of all students. Schools face pressure to improve K-12 mathematics instruction to reach all students, regardless of economic, linguistic, or cultural background. Supporting academic excellence and equity in school mathematics requires strong leadership. Recognizing that leadership in a school does not fall on the shoulders of just one person, this session will focus on leadership practices that promote, support, and ensures meaningful mathematics teaching and learning is happening for all students.

Bring a device, bring your experience, and bring your voice as we explore these ideas together.
