April Pforts has served the Iowa Department of Education as the mathematics consultatn since 2016. In this role she provides guidance and professional development on standards, curriculum, instruction and assessment and  assessment. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration is from the University of Iowa and a bachelor's degereeof science in mathematics.
